Amanda Deitz, was born and raised in the Land of Living Skies. Though she was raised by her mother in Regina, she spent much of her time in small town Saskatchewan with her beloved Grandmother and extended family. Like many others at the time, she fled the province after graduation and headed west to Wild Rose Country.
Eventually making her way back home, she decided it was time to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a writer. Wanting to focus her efforts on soap operas, she started by creating the story bible for what would eventually be Longer Than Life.
By 2005, Amanda had begun fundraising money through pub crawls, cabarets and beer nights in an effort to supplement the cost of self-publishing her dramatic serial novel, Longer Than Life.
In 2007, she and her team took home the Reader’s Choice Award from the Saskatchewan Book Awards. In 2009, she was short-listed for the very same award.
By 2009, she decided to slow down her publishing efforts and focus on building her career. Today she is as a Paralegal for one of Saskatchewan’s AMAZING Crown Corporations and resides with her husband and daughter in Saskatoon. Her soap opera novella series, The Kate and Thomas Series, will launch in September, 2016.
